From time to time, I will post some useful tips, for both therapists and families, with the intent that they are actually useful and solve problems. Many of the tips I will post center around the philosophy of coping skills; basically how to not let any particular situation annihiliate your judgment skills.
Though we may be human, and often make mistakes, if we truly endeavor to behave morally and ethically, we must perservere in our efforts to eliminate dysfunctionality as much as possible. It is my sincerest hope that what I provide will help in some small way.

When you talk to parents, focus on the kid's success -- that is our goal. REFRAME everything in terms of the kid's success in two areas --
love/relationships and school/work.
