I completed my dissertation with Dr. John Reid and Dr. Jerry Patterson in 1983. I was trained in child and family therapy by the Oregon Social Learning Center (OSLC), and am especially grateful to Dr. Patti Chamberlain and Dr. Kate Kavanagh, who supervised my clinical work. My doctorate is in clinical psychology from the University of Oregon, and was licensed in 1986; I also have a credential in School Psychology. I have training in test construction, factor analysis, psychological testing, play therapy, hypnosis, depression, analytic therapy, neuropsychology, school psychology, pain management, rehabilitation, and biofeedback.
I have worked in the field for over 20 years, and specialize in assessing and treating children aged 3-17 with a gamut of disorders, especially ADHD, PTSD, ODD, and learning disabilities. I have taught introductory psychology, statistics, psychological assessment, personality, and play therapy. I have been co-author of 8 publications in the fields of perception, depression, test construction, and child psycho-pathology. Currently I am the President of the Inland Psychological Association, have served as its President in the past and have lobbied legislators for the California Psychological Association for the last 2 years.
My current endeavors revolve around sharing the amazing and groundbreaking therapy that evolved out of the OSLC, in my seminar entitled, "Building Better Angels - With Evidence-Based Child and Family Therapy". I invite you to learn more about this seminar and registering.
